I was born in the sixties on the island of Oahu. My father was a Marine Biologist which made for an idyllic life of beauty and wonder. We weren’t required to wear shoes to school in those days. Combine that with perfect weather and a pool in the backyard and I figure I had life’s dessert first. Now I have to eat my vegetables – YUCK.
And I did eat life’s vegetables for awhile. Even some rotten seafood and tofu. We all have dues to pay for sure. But I will spare you the drama of those twenty years and move on to my late thirties when I decided to become a software developer in Redmond, WA for You-Know-Who.
It was there that I met my “knight” or at least a contemporary facsimile. Okay, so he’s not a knight, but he’s tall, dark, and handsome. We married (each other) and moved to a little town outside of Seattle to create our own “happily-ever-after” fairytale.
But, as we all know, fairytales aren’t real. Okay, so we don’t have a dog. Who would’ve guessed ‘Mr. Knight’ wouldn’t like dogs? Well, I’m still working on the dog part.
